Hallowe'en

I've been more and more excited for Hallowe'en as each cool October day has passed. So when Grace told me that her brother's 6th birthday was to be Hallowe'en themed, I smiled gleefully. We entered into an inter-web black hole of Hallowe'en crafts and ideas and after an epic shopping trip for supplies, we headed home and ended up waist deep in black pipe cleaners, googly eyes and orange craft paper.

Tea&Time

After a long day of Halloween shopping we returned home to find a batch of deliciously pastel cupcakes. Accompanied by a hot cup of Russian Caravan tea(my Halloween season drink of choice) it was a glorious afternoon filled with Jacaranda blossoms and bubbles.

One day this week

We were at one with the increasingly warm weather when we heard a chorus of metallic sounding bells playing 'Fur Elise' in our street. Out like children we ran and indulged in a Sherbert cone. A quick trip to a tattoo parlour was in order afterwards, of course.

These authentic 1950's dresses are so beautiful, I just can't stop looking at them.

They sort of remind me of what Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte may have worn to Carrie's wedding circa 1955.
